Johan worked most recently at E.ON as in-house counsel for 10 years, focusing on construction law. In addition to significant experience in legislative matters in the energy sector involving both electricity and gas networks, Johan also has extensive knowledge of the unregulated field of distance heating plants and the energy sector as a whole. During his years at E.ON, he participated in negotiations on several transactions in the energy sector as well as agreements governing the construction of heating plants and large combined heating and power plants, turbine contracts, gas filling stations, and production facilities for biogas.

– I wanted to join Foyen because the firm has a unique and strong position in the energy sector in Sweden, with cutting-edge expertise throughout the entire real estate area. With my background in the energy industry and expertise in construction law, among other areas, I look forward to being a part of the firm and to helping it grow, says Johan Bogren.

Johan’s legal career also includes several years of practice as an attorney (Advokat) at Mannheimer Swartling where his primary areas of practice covered corporate acquisitions, company law, and general civil law. Prior to that, Johan worked as an attorney in the same legal practice areas at Delphi, as well as in insolvency law. He also worked as an associate attorney at Archibald Advokatbyrå. Johan began his position at Foyen on 7 February.

– Foyen is ranked number one in energy law by Legal 500 in their most recent evaluation of Swedish law firms. Johan has extensive legal background in the energy sector and construction law and business law. His expertise strengthens us further and his recruitment is a part of our effort to become Sweden’s largest commercial law firm in projects and technology-related law”, says Foyen’s CEO, Linnéa Djursén.

Foyen has also recently recruited associate attorney Andreas Renlund to the Construction Law and Public Sector practice groups, as well as associate attorney Sofia Wedbäck for the Construction Law practice group.
