Södra Hallands Kraft Biogas AB owns a biogas plant located in Hov, south-east of Laholm. The plant receives manure from various farms and waste from the food industry. Biogas is produced through an anaerobic digestion process. The residual product is biofertiliser, which is delivered back to farms in southern Halland. The biogas is upgraded to vehicle gas. The operation saves around 7,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere each year.
Södra Hallands Kraft Biogas AB will change its name to St1 Biokraft Laholm AB.
