Partner Jonas Nilsson and associate Johanna Lenell have successfully represented one of Foyen’s clients before the Court of Appeal for Western Sweden. The judgment was issued on 18 December.
Based on a settlement which had been reached, a major construction and contracting company was seeking almost SEK 10 million in compensation for personal liability under the Companies Act. The issued judgment required our client to pay only SEK 50,000 to the opposing party for a minor issue, and granted our client reimbursement, by the opposing party, for attorney’s fees. The Court of Appeal thus overruled the District Court’s judgment on the issues that were previously decided against our client.
