Foyen has successfully represented contractor in termination case

Attorney and partner Richard Sahlberg, together with senior associate Fanny Herbe and associate Erik Jagbrant, has successfully represented Folkets Bygg in the Malmö District Court. Judgment was pronounced on Monday the 14th of January.

The case concerned a large-scale project involving conversion to apartments of storage lofts in a number of properties. Malmö’s municipal housing company, MKB, had retained Folkets Bygg and subsequently rescinded the contract. The case has been ongoing since 2016 and the key issue was whether MKB was entitled to rescind the contract. The District Court has now found in favour of Folkets Bygg and ordered MKB to pay Folkets Bygg for work performed and damages.
