InnoEnergy invested EUR 7.1 million in Freyr AS in order to enable the development of a large-scale battery production facility. Freyr’s factory will manufacture high-quality lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and energy storage. The factory, which will be built in in Rana Municipality, Norway, aims to establish a production capacity of 32GWh when fully built out, and it is expected to create thousands of jobs.
