Foyen brings clarity to construction law and project finance

Published: 16. December 2016

Sweden is once again this year represented in the international publication Getting the Deal Through in construction law and project finance by Foyen Advokatfirma. Getting the Deal Through is a publication covering 75 practice areas with information and analyses linked to over 150 jurisdictions.

In the Construction 2017 section, legislation is summarized for the construction sector in 26 countries. Partners Jacob Hamilton and Per Vestman, and associate Richard Sahlberg clarify construction law in Sweden.

“Many of our clients work in the installation, energy and industry sectors within the Swedish construction industry. We also see an increased interest by international contractors and owners in Swedish projects, which is why we believe it is important to contribute to Getting the Deal Through by providing updates on an annual basis” says Jacob Hamilton, partner at Foyen.

Project Finance 2017 offers a quick overview of the relevant legislation governing project finance in 36 countries. Partners Peter Dyer and Andreas Lindström answer questions regarding, among other things, how project companies are organized, how the assets can best be packaged as security for the lenders, whether there are any restrictions applicable to foreign investors, and who the relevant public authorities are for infrastructure projects.

Getting the Deal Through cooperates with many of the world’s best attorneys and law firms to compile a unique information resource. The various sections and publications are authored by experts in each subject area and jurisdiction and we at Foyen are proud of our contribution to the practice areas Project Finance 2017, Construction 2017 and Mining 2016.
